The Garden of dreams, Kathmandu, Nepal
After a long day shopping, monument-hopping, river rafting and momo devouring, you may need to relax, away from the urban noise and stress. The Garden of dreams, situated at the entrance of Thamel, is a little piece of green heaven, right at the center of the chaotic capital. It has been created for the Field Marshall, Kaiser Sumsher Rana, in the in early 1920’s. Re-opened after a major renovation, the neo-classical historical garden offers a place to relax sitting on the green grass, enjoying some shade under the flowered pergolas or reflect upon your journey in company of the pond’s koi fishes.
