Chatuchak park, Bangkok
Chatuchak Park is situated in Bangkok, Thailand, next to the famous Chatuchak Weekend market, where tourists and locals enjoy their bargained shopping. The park is one of the oldest public parks of the City of Angels. Opened in 1980, this little spot of nature in the middle of the cemented surrounding décor has seen the addition of two other parks separated from it by Kampaengphet 3 Road: Queen Sirikit Park and Wachirabenchatat Park.
The artificial lake delimiting its center is a great picnic area for lovers or families. A playground is available for kids and you can also navigate on the park waters using paddleboats or canoes. In the heat of Bangkok, the tree shadows makes it a lovely resting area after wandering around the huge weekend market.
How to go there? The park is situated right outside of Mo Chit BTS station and Chatuchak MRT station.
