Ancient City (Muang Boran) was built to serve as a tool to encourage people of the country to learn about the history of their own country. Founded by Lek Viriyaphan in 1963 whose motivation and ideal had long been cultivated by his philosophical mind, the place was aimed to make national traditions and culture which are the foundation of Siamese civilization known to the world.

From the Fortress of the Oceanic Protective Narayana to the Giant Lanna Buddha, from the Magnificient Walking Buddha of Sukhothai to the Sacred Creator Brahma, from the Elaborate wood carvings of Buddha’s life to the Attractive architectural sites, even the stunning Sanphet Prasat Palace of the unforgettable Preah Vihear, All can be visited in this amazing place, which makes for a great day trip.

How to go there?

By car or taxi – take the express way as far as the Samrong-Samutprakan exit. Turn to Samutprakan intersection. Turn left along the Sukhumvit road (towards Bangpoo_ until you get to km. 33, Ancient Siam is on the left.

By bus – Take air-conditioned bus No.511 (southern Bus Terminal Paknam) to the of the line. From here, take the mini bus no 36 to Ancient Siam.
