Bangkok Foodie: Mori Japanese Dessert Bar, The Mercury Ville
Originating from Osaka, Mori Dessert Bar is a great addition to the Bangkok Patisserie scene. Mixing French techniques with Japanese flair, Mori is a delight.
How does it look like?
Mori is a cute dessert café following the trend of wooden interior, nostalgic shelves and modern light fixtures. The contrast of the lavish décor and the colorful patisseries is great.
How is the food?
I had the Aki, a wonderful hazelnutty mousse with a nice biscuit under. To accompany the sweet treat, I had a peach, cucumber and lime ice tea. It was delicious and fresh. The selection of drinks is really amazing with a lot of Japanese subtle flavors (acai, peach, sakura, rose …). My friend had the strawberry short cake and the Wake me up juice, which were also nice.
Everything is around a 100 bahts.
I really loved this place especially because the pastries aren’t as sweet as in many places and the flavors really accomplished. I will come back to try out their famous Mont Blanc and their customized macarons.
How to go there?
Mori is located on the ground floor of the Mercury Ville, BTS Chitlom.
