Tokyo Foodie: Italian Tomato Café Jr, Shibuya
Wandering around the crazy shopping streets of the buzzing district of Shibuya in Tokyo, one might need to take a little break. Italian Tomato Café Jr, not far from the famous Shibuya crossing, is a nice option.
How does it look like?
As a lot of cafes in Japan, you need to order downstairs and then sit down on the same floor or on a busy day, go upstairs to enjoy your meal. Be aware than there are smoking and non-smoking areas.
How do they treat you?
Service is efficient and polite.
How is the food?
I had the rose and cranberry soda. Very refreshing but would have been better if more lemon-y. I also enjoyed my pumpkin pudding, very creamy with a subtle pumpkin flavor. Not too sweet which is great (and too rare) for a dessert.
Verdict!
It is a great place to hang out with friends after a shopping spree. Careful though, it can get cramped on the weekend. I will come back for lunch to try the spaghettis.
