Kyoto Foodie: Matsuya, the Japanese chain restaurant
There are over 1.000 Matsuya restaurants in Japan and some abroad. It is a very convenient way to eat cheap in Japan with some delicious local delicacies. So hop on this vending machine and get your munchies on.
How does it look like?
The design is basic but inviting. You can choose to sit on a table with friends or if you are alone have the comfort of the counter.
How do they treat you?
The process is simple. You order and pay from your food with the vending machine at the entrance. Give your ticket to the staff and they will serve you at your table. Service is polite and efficient.
How is the food?
We had the beef curry and a beef/chicken/pork/egg hot plate. The food was delicious, soul warming and fulfilling. The menu is extensive so you will sure find your happiness.
A much better option than a regular fastfood. I love the idea of the vending machine at the entrance and then getting your food at your table. The food is cheap and generous. Some are even opened 24h!
How to go there?
There are everywhere ! Just look for the sign!
