Bangkok Foodie: Lim Lao Ngow Bistro, Siam Square One
There are many options available in the newly opened Siam Square One. If you want to try out some Thai noodles and fish balls, then head to Lim Lao Ngow Bistro.
How does it look like?
The place is really cute. It looks clean and modern. I love the small quotes on the coasters and the fun messages to customers.
How do they treat you?
The place is new and it seems that the staff isn’t really prepared for an English-speaking customer. The owner, or so it seems, was really nice and detailed the menu to us, giving us good advice on what to choose. The service was then very quick and efficient.
How is the food?
We had their famous steamed fish balls. They were ok, though it seems the fried ones are tastier. We also had the seafood noodles which were good though a bit sweet. As for the drinks (the restaurant doubles as a café), I really enjoyed my lychee and grass jelly ice tea.
The place has just opened so it will take some time to be as perfect as it can be, but Lim Lao Ngow Bistro is a charming restaurant which is worthy of a visit in Siam Square One.
