Do you know about Dutch Baby Pancakes? If you don’t (and even if you do), you should check out Panary Café in soi Ari. One of the best places to have brunch in town.

How does it look like?
Its central wooden tree/chandelier piece sets the mood of this cute and surreal café. The place is wooden like a Dutch shoe and comfy like a pancake.  A perfect balance for a sweet pause in your busy schedule. The only problem might be in its air-conditioning, it can definitely freeze the mood.

How do they treat you?
The staff speaks perfect English and even though it was a “order at the cashier” type of place, we had enough time to make up our mind, with no pressure from the waiters.

How is the food?
The specialty here is Dutch Baby pancakes. For the neophytes: A Dutch baby pancake, sometimes called a German pancake, a Bismarck, or a Dutch puff, is a sweet popover that is normally served for breakfast. It is derived from the German pfannkuchen. It is made with eggs, flour, sugar and milk, and usually seasoned with vanilla and cinnamon, although occasionally fruit or another flavoring is also added.

It is baked in a cast iron or metal pan and falls soon after being removed from the oven. You will have to wait 12 minutes to get your sweet treats. Be patient, it is worth it!

We had the berries and the banana pancakes with Nutella sauce. They were both delicious and rich in taste. I would love to come back and try their savory ones.

Drinks were great too. The honey and peanut butter milkshake was to die for.

Update

I came back and had the lemon custard and strawberry pancake and the egg benedict savory pancake. I recommend them.
