Seoul Foodie: Publique Boulangerie, Coex Mall
After checking out Coex Mall, I was intrigued by the very cute and French themed Publique. This bakery is a great place to relax after a shopping session.
Chef Jang Eun-chul’s 28 years belies his experience. Jang has studied or worked as a baker for more than a decade (the last four in France), and he brings all of that experience into a thoughtful, French-style boulangerie and patisserie called Publique.
How does it look like?
I love the circus-like vibe of this joint. The armosphere also reminds me of a countryside French bistro with cute wooden tables and chairs.
How do they treat you?
Service is good. Too bad the menu isn’t also written in English.
How is the food?
I had a lemon themed snack with the very sour but delicious dangerous lemonade and the very subtle and scrumptious lemon meringue tart.
I would love to go back there next time I come to Seoul and try out more patisseries, especially their éclairs. The fashionistas would love to head there as the portions as very figure friendly.
How to go there?
